NBA All Star Weekend

The NBA All Star Weekend is coming up. Adam Silver has made a significant change to the game by having players from the Eastern and Western Conferences interminable. The captains of the teams are Lebron James and Steph Curry. They selected the players that were voted in similar to how one would pick a team at your local rec center. This will allow players that have never played together as well as some that were former teammates to be on the same squad. 

It will not create the defense intensity that the game currently lacks. One way to bring defense back to the game is to have each player touch the ball during an offensive possession. This would not take place if you acquire the ball by way of a turnover that results in a fast brake.

We would add one more dimension to balance the game offensively. Add a 4 point shot based on distance. That would make no lead insurmountable.

Saric,Simmons and Embiid

We would not change any other aspect of the weekend. The skills competition, The Rising Stars game and the 3 point contest are still fan favorites. Let the fans in the arena vote on keypads for the dunk contest. Make the experience fantastic and interactive.

3 Bold Gaming Predictions for 2018

                                      Here are the 3 bold gaming predictions for 2018.

Sports Betting will be legal in some capacity. New Jersey will win the case to have Sports Betting. The Supreme Court will allow states rights to prevail since Nevada and Delaware allow wagering on sports, New Jersey will start with NFL this fall. Other states will follow. The NBA will lobby for a percentage of the action. All of the major professional sport leagues will follow suit. 

Hard Rock Atlantic City will be the market leader in Atlantic City. This will happen by the end of the year. Hard Rock will enter the region with the most visible brand and the newest venue. The entertainment lineup will surpass Borgata and Tropicana. This will bring crowds after the summer season ends. Borgata will counter with property upgrades. Tropicana will work the online space and grow that side of  their business.

Pennsylvania will continue to see an increase in table games and poker revenue while slots will trend down. As the clientele gets younger, the demand for slot play decreases. Even with the current expansion of gaming, expect the online space to reflect the current brick and mortar models.

Super Bowl 52 - Eagles vs.Patriots

Super Bowl 52 is 2 days away. Pats and Eagles. Belichick and Pederson.

Coaching advantage. Belichick.

Brady and Foles.

Quarterback edge. Brady easily.

Offensive weapons. Eagles win this especially if Gronk not 100%.

Defensively: Eagles have advantage with front seven. Pats have edge in secondary. 

Special teams. Pats get slight edge here.

Line is 4.5. Pats are favored 

Over /Under is 48.

Momentum is with Eagles.

Jags control the game against the Pats. They took the foot off of the gas.

Eagles will run same game plan with a balance attack and more weapons.

Eagles win and cover.
