NBA and NHL Drafts along with the top Free Agents

The NBA Draft took place on Wednesday and Thursday. While all 30 teams had an opportunity to improve their team by selecting someone based on need or best player available, there was no franchise changing player in the entire draft based on a prior body of work. Most of the conversation was centered around where Bronny James would go and at what spot. The Los Angeles Lakers pick Bronny in the 2nd round with the 55th pick. The comments about the pselection range to nepotism to prospect. The nepotism comments are no different than one's associated with Jack Buck,Jeremy Schapp or Wade Phillips. All of these men had famous fathers whose positions afforded them opportunities in fields where the parent was well respected.Lebron James is no exception. He just voiced his desire publicly on multiple ocassions. He is npw psrt of history for being part of the first father-son duo to play in the NBA at th. same time and for the same faranchise.

SixersTalk: Moving On Up

Lonzo Ball vs.Makelle Fultz

The trending conversation in the NBA following the Finals was the Sixers and Celtics in discussion about swapping picks in the draft.  This would allow the Sixers to take whoever they want at number one for the second consecutive year. While Ben Simmons was a foregone conclusion as the top pick of the 2016 draft, this draft is loaded with good players that can help a franchise. The top players that come to mind in this draft are Lonzo Ball. Josh Jackson, Malik Monk, De'Aaron Fox and Markelle Fultz.

Josh Jackson

According to Sports Illustrated  2017 Mock Draft, Fultz is the player that is considered the best player in this group. If the #Sixers move up, he should be their guy. At the time of this post, nothing is finalized. Fultz can give the Sixers an option since he can play the point or shooting guard. We like this move. If we go after a veteran shooter that can help spread the floor, the process moves from Trust to Believe.  Stay Tuned!
